I wanted to share with you, and give some people a chance to win a copy of my latest unit, Will He See His Shadow? This pack in a mini unit all about groundhogs and Punxsutawney Phil and also includes a Punxsy Phil craft project you can do with your students.

These books are super cute and will be read throughout this week. If you click on them, you can check them out on Amazon.
This pack (I have no pictures for we haven’t done anything from it yet) includes various KWL charts and fact charts to be used to learn more about groundhogs and Punxsutawney Phil. The kiddos will be able to create a class graph listing whether they think Phil will see his shadow or not as well as complete a writing prompt with the same material. Various other activities are also included in this 50 + page pack.
Craft templates are also included to make this big eyed cutie patootie groundhog.
Congrats to Kara, Cristin, and Amy. You all won my groundhog mini unit and craft pack. Check your emails ladies :) Thank you to everyone who played along :)

I do not know if it is MY favorite book, but my own children really liked and my kinder kiddos LOVE "It didn't frighten me!" By Janet L. Goss. I usually read it in October and they will ask for the me to read the book every. single. stickin. day! It is a repetitive story, that they can usually “read” the book by themselves by the end of the week. There are so MANY good books, that to pick just one is really hard. However, I really like to read "Wild About Books by Judy Sierra" as many of my students are not read to at home and do not understand the concept of being read to at the beginning of the year.
